Rilke Schule is a K through 8th grade charter school within the Anchorage School District with a focus on the German Language. Charter Schools are public alternative schools that are held to the same standards as all other ASD schools, though they have more freedom with their choice of curriculum and may use methods of teaching that are not used in other schools.
The 2011-2012 school year is our fifth year. The original school charter was approved for three years. In March of 2010 the State Board of Education approved the Rilke Schule Charter for 10 more years. Yippee!!

For all four years of operation, Rilke Schule has met all of the AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) goals. Testing is in April and results are announced over the summer.
